Viewpoint of Morro de Campolide

Close to the north entrance of Campus de Campolide¹, there's a small hill, gardened and with some wooden benches facing Serra de Monsanto², where is situated the Viewpoint of Morro de Campolide.

This small urban hill is part of the project Corredor Verde de Monsanto³ that units Monsanto to the urban area of Lisbon. At the hill foot passes a bicycle path towards Ponte Ciclopedonal Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles⁴ crossed over Avenida Calouste Gulbenkian.

Despite de observation point being pretty low, we can contemplate a quite interesting perspective of the Aqueduto das Águas Livres, located to our right. It is, in fact, the most important factor for visiting this viewpoint.

Facing the Parque Florestal de Monsanto⁶, we sight the mountainous shapes of the sierra's eastern area. To our right, grow the buildings and urbanizations of Lisbon.
