About the Beach

What is Praia do Vigão Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Leiria.

Praia do Vigão Beach has a broad hand very extensive sand with about 1,2 Km.
The dune system is home to small sandy "mountains" bearers of great beauty.
Far way into the south is possible to glimpse the 1 mouth.
The best access is via Praia da Vieira village: after crossing the bridge, one has to follow north for about 1 Km. From here, it takes nearly 400 meters to west through a dirt road until a dream scenery, integrated in the Mata Nacional do Pedrogão2.
