It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Mira.

Praia do Poço da Cruz Beach, also known as Praia Nova Beach, has a very extensive sand of about 3,3 Km.
There are two piers bounding the beach to the north and south.
The dune system is green due to the presence of vegetation and holds several high dunes. To the east lies the Canal do Areão1 paralleling the dunes.
During low tide the sand gets really wide, giving rise to the formation of puddles.
This remote beach enjoys of a quality access coming from Estrada Municipal 5912.
