About the Beach

What is Praia da Areeira Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Nazaré.

Praia da Areeira Beach displays a very extensive sand of about 2,2 Km.
Despite having a robust appearance, the dune system shows some evidence of abrasion due to the action of sea waters.
A cliff of constant height is highlighted in the landscape from all other natural elements.
The primary access is done by a road with about 1 Km through the forest, passing right beside a wind tower. It ends in a small open area utilize to park vehicles.
