About the Beach

What is Praia da Comenda Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Setúbal.

Praia da Comenda Beach discloses an extensive and thin strip of sand, integrated into the 1 mouth by the northern side.
The best area for bathing is at east.
The hill slope is full of dense and green woods.
At west, the beach is bounded by the Palácio da Comenda2 and the Ribeira da Ajuda, Aravil or Comenda3, whose margins hold traces of a roman village and ancient salting fish facilities.
