About the Beach

What is Praia de Vale Furado Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Alcobaça (North).

Praia de Vale Furado Beach displays a thin and very extensive strip of sand of about 1,5 Km that becomes immersed in some parts of the center area.
This whole shoreline shifts a lot the available sandy area, led by tidal periods.
The cliff holds many freshwater springs along its length, having this natural treat being responsable by the beach name ("Vale Furado" in Portuguese means "punctured valley").
Access is done by the north part, near a group houses.
