It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Matosinhos.

Praia do Marreco Beach belongs to the sea front of a place sharing the same name. It is located in a small cove with rock formations of big dimensions to the north.
The beach has an extensive sand, bounded north by the Ribeira de Pampelido1 mouth. There's a dune system that gets wider into the south.
To the west, exists a massive islet emerging about 200 meters away into the sea.
Access is achieved via Avenida Dom Pedro V2, Rua do Marreco3 or by Rua da Agudela4.
