About the Beach

What is Praia da Carreagem Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Aljezur.

Praia da Carreagem Beach has a sand of small dimensions that turns into a long and thin strip of about 1,5 Km when tide achieves its high peak.
The shale cliff is quite steep and from it, continuously fall water drops, coming from fresh water springs.
The access is done while exiting Estrada Nacional 1201 to west, beside the industrial complex of . Once on the beach cliff, a trail and a stairway end the route.
