It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Portimão.

Praia dos Careanos Beach has an extensive sand, north bounded by cliff with a multitude of colors ranging from ocher to light yellow.
The beach is bounded by an huge rock formation at east, split from the cliff. Here, there are immersed rocks near the shoreline.
The access goes through a stairway at the west side.
