About the Beach

What is Praia de Assentiz Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sintra.

Praia de Assentiz Beach, also known as Praia da Enseada de Assentiz Beach, presents a small dimensions sand located in a deep cove.
Sea waters are often rough in spite of being protected by the cliffs.
Access to the sand is extremely difficult and dangerous due to the natural configuration of the cliffs.
For trekking experts, there's a trail coming from Rua dos Moinhos1 in Azóia village south side.
It's highly recommended to access the beach by sea.
