It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Torres Vedras.

Praia da Mexilhoeira Beach discloses an extensive sand, north and south bounded by rock formations that partially interrupt the sandy area.
Sometimes, the sea gets rough at this place.
The cliff top holds a dune system whose dimensions have been shrinking due to the creation of new farm land.
At south, one finds an open wide area used for car parking and the access to the beach.
