About the Beach

What is Praia de Porto Chão Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Torres Vedras.

Praia de Porto Chão Beach holds a narrow and very extensive strip of sand of about 1,5 Km.
The rocky steep cliff follows all along the beach.
Access is safer by taking a walk on the sand of the north neighbor beach during low tide.
It's advised caution concerning tidal periods for during high tide, the sand gets fully immersed.
