It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Viana do Castelo.

Praia de Carreço Beach, also known as Praia do Porto Beach, has a considerably sized sand.
The northern area integrates a cove facing northwest. The central area has a strip of sand that enters into the sea near a large rock formation.
In this beach one can observe several species of seabirds.
It is much frequented by groups of families and in the south area there's a support car parking.
