About the Beach

What is Praia da Figueira Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila do Bispo.

Praia da Figueira Beach presents a wide and medium size sand.
At east, during low tide, one may reach two different sandy areas of smaller dimensions.
At the top of the east cliff are the 1, from the seventeenth-century.
This is the place where the Ribeiro da Figueira2 empties.
The access is via a partially tarred road coming from Figueira village.

    Long way goes down to the beach. Sometimes wild dogs attac people or dogs. Beach is very small. Since they sadly found a dead man there, the mood and vibe of the beach has changed.
