It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila do Conde.

Praia de Mindelo (South) Beach, also known as Praia de Mindelo Atlântico Beach, presents an extensive sand, side by side with a dune string topped by native undergrowth and protected by wooden walkways. To the south, the dune system gets wider. About 500 meters off shore it's possible to sight an islet of large dimensions. This beach is much sought by youngsters due to the nightlife establishments available nearby. The access is done by Avenida Atlântica1.
