About the Beach

What is Praia dos Barcos Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila do Conde.

Praia dos Barcos Beach got this name because it was the location of the former Portinho das Caxinas1, city.
The small sand is bounded north by a pier and to the south by the beach barracks of the adjacent beach.
It is still common to sight small sea vessels belonging to fishermen who keep the habit of sheltering them here.
Access is done through Rua da Praia2 or along Avenida Infante Dom Henrique3.
