It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Vila Nova de Gaia.

Praia de Lavadores Beach presents a bit broad sand that can nearly disappear during larger tidal amplitudes.
On this place there are rock formations whose largest one is located in the northern area: a massive rock with over 500 meters length.
This beach is the most northern one of the entire Avenida Beira Mar1, having a bicycle lane.
Access is achieved through Avenida Beira Mar or by Rua do Thom.
