About the Beach

What is Praia de Barrelas Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Esposende.

Praia de Barrelas Beach, also known as Praia da Foz da Ribeira de Barrelas Beach, has a medium sized sand that is chopped at some points by rock formations at seaside.
The most northern walkway transposes the Ribeira the Barrelas1, flowing here.
Access is achieved by following north from Rua Pinhal do Cigano2. From here, a wooden pedestrian walkway at center part protects the dune system and splits into two beside the sand.
