About the Beach

What is Praia de São Bartolomeu do Mar Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Esposende.

Praia de São Bartolomeu do Mar Beach displays a very extensive sand with about 1,2 Km, mainly comprised by pebbles and rolled stones.
The sand's length covers the entire coast of parish .
On August 24th people come to this place according tradition to have a 1, utilized to push away bad energies from everybody's lives.
In the south part there's a vast open area providing space for car parking.
Access is achieved by coming from Mar via Avenida da Praia2.
