About the Beach

What is Praia da Baleeira Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sesimbra.

Praia da Baleeira Beach is located southwest of Azóia village. Pebbles and rocks cover all its length.
Sea waters are calm and crystal clear at this narrow cove, surrounded by huge scarps. Here empties the Ribeira da Mareta1.
There are ruins of an old houses on the east cliff.
The access is done by a rocky trail down the cliff towards the bathing area.
