About the Beach

What is Praia do Carvalho Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Lagoa.

Praia do Carvalho Beach acquired its name for having been a captain's private property whose name was Carvalho, according to the locals. It has a reasonable sized sand with the shape of a seashell, completely surrounded by cliffs.
West there's a cave and 50 meters off shore, an islet breaks waters.
The access is via a stairway built into two tunnels inside the cliff making this one of the most exotic beaches of .
