About the Beach

What is Praia da Ponta Grande Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Albufeira.

Praia da Ponta Grande Beach, also known as Praia do Buraco Beach, presents a narrow tip of sand along the cliff base. It's sheltered from the wind for being in a bay where both the cliff ends are curved.
At west there is a group of rocks that have fallen from landslips.
Access is only possible via boat.
