About the Beach

What is Praia da Amália Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia da Amália Beach acquired its name for being situated in front of the house where , the Fado singer, used to spend vacations. It is also known as Praia do Brejão Beach.
The sand dimensions depends on the tidal period: medium sized during low tide and when the tide is high it gets fully immersed.
At south flows a small stream that ends in a beautiful waterfall.
The access is done to west direction, coming from Brejão village.
