It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia do Farol Beach belongs to the 1 mouth by its north margin. It discloses an extensive sand that circumvents all the land tip from the north of the river bar.
Bathers can choose bathing in the river or in the .
Precaution is advisable due to the strong currents, specially when the tide is emptying.
On top of the cliff stands the Miradouro do Farol de Vila Nova de Milfontes2.
