About the Beach

What is Praia do Cavaleiro Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia de Cavaleiro Beach, also known as Praia da Foz de Cavaleiro Beach, has a sand of small dimensions divided in half by a rocky slab. It is located in a cove, north of the 1.
The high tide immerses almost all the sand.
At west the beach is bounded by a long and slender cliff ledge, known as the Ponta da Carraca, a typical term of Alentejo region which means "tick".
The access is done through a road that heads northwest, coming from the center of Cavaleiro village.
