It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Odemira.

Praia das Furnas Beach belongs to the 1 mouth by the south margin. It acquired this name due to the numerous small coves that form during low tide.
The very long sand circumvents all the south land that belongs to the south part of the river's bar, therefore, it's exposed both to salt and freshwater.
The dune system is pretty wide.
Carefull with Weeverfish stings, they are very common in this area, specially during low tide!
To the north stands town.
