About the Beach

What is Praia da Pelengana Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sines.

Praia da Pelengana Beach was called so because of a type of bowl made in this region, named "Pelengana". It is comprised by a sand of small dimension, beside Parque de Campismo de São Torpes1.
The beach is north and south bounded by rock formations. The most indicated area for bathing is at the center.
There's a small car parking beside Estrada Municipal 11092.
