It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Caminha.

Praia de Vila Praia de Âncora Beach is located in the urban sea front of village and is part of the 1 mouth by the north margin. It's long stretch of sand is partially crossed by the river's last bend and protected by the north pontoon which provides the sunbathers shelter in windier days.
Over the river in the south area there is an elevated footbridge that provides access to the next beach.
