About the Beach
What is Praia da Concha Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Marinha Grande.
Praia da Concha Beach acquired its name because the sand has a shape resembling a seashell ("Concha" in Portuguese means "Seashell"), surrounded by sea waters and the cliff.
A wooden walkway in the north part and a stairway on the opposite side, facilitate access to the beach without incident.
During low tide some rocks in the bathing area that once were hidden, reveal themselves. At south there's a small area that is absent of rocks so, the best for bathing.
