It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Almada.

Praia Nova Beach is located at the southern end of 's urban sea side. It's inserted into Vila da Costa geographic unit. This is the last (north-south oriented) from a series of six beaches bounded by piers. It has a long extension of sand. Sea waters are usually rough and often sought by surf fans. The car parking is insufficient during high season. This is an area where several beach bars are available.

    Boa praia mas mal servida de apoio aos banhistas. Restaurante fraco e pouco sociável com os banhistas, cobram 50c por utilização de casa de banho mas não passam recibo nem tão pouco utilizam a verba para manter a instalação do sanitária higienizada.
