About the Beach
What is Praia de Mira (Sul) Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Mira.
Praia de Mira (South) Beach presents a avery extensive sand of about 3,3 Km.
In the north part there are two piers near Praia de Mira town.
Despite the erosion marks at seaside, the dune string is generally well preserved.
The access to the center area is done by the road heading west from Casal de São Tomé village, crossing the Perímetro Florestal das Dunas e Pinhais de Mira1 until the facilities of a factory. From here, it's necessary to take a walk into the bathing area.
