About the Beach

What is Praia de Algés Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Oeiras.

Praia de Algés Beach, also known as Praia de Pedrouços Beach, has a medium sized sand flanked by two piers.
The 1 empties channeled near the southeast pier.
About 300 meters in front of the sand, at the end of another pier, lies the Torre VTS (Vessel Traffic System)1 of Centro de Coordenação e Controlo Marítimo do Porto de Lisboa - CCCMPL3.
The building was drawn by the architect Gonçalo Byrne and awarded with the Prémio Municipal de Arquitetura "Conde de Oeiras"4.
