About the Beach
What is Praia das Areias Brancas Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém.
Praia das Areias Brancas Beach discloses a surprisingly white sand with an extension of about 1,7 Km. This is a true paradise with high dunes filled of green vegetation, located in the Reserva Natural das Lagoas de Santo André e da Sancha1.
Sea waters are crystal clear and sometimes can get rough, attracting surf lovers.
The access is done by coming from the southern end of Vila Nova de Santo André, beside the SAKI - Santo André Kartódromo Internacional2. From here, turn to northwest by the dirt road that follows straight for a little less than 3 Km.
