About the Beach
What is Praia do Relógio Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Figueira da Foz.
Praia do Relógio Beach is the central strip of sand which is part of Praia da Claridade Beach, the largest urban sand in Portugal. Acquired this name for being located in front of the Torre do Relógio1 da Figueira da Foz. It has a very lengthy sand, served by four walkways.
Further north it's possible to see palm trees belonging to an infrastructure built around a small flowing stream, known as the "Oásis". To the south, one sights a pier with about 1 Km that belongs to the Rio Mondego2 bar.
This beach is very well known for having been built infrastructures to support collective sports on sand.
