About the Beach

What is Praia da Laje do Costado Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Figueira da Foz.

Praia da Laje do Costado Beach has a very long sand located on the foot of 1, half kilometer to north of the 2.
At north there's a huge rocky slab extending for nearly 200 meters from the cliff until seaside.
It is very usual to see fishermen around this area, always lurking for the next good catch.
The access is achieved by entering the facilities of a deactivated hydraulic lime factory belonging to Cimpor. At the entrance, one has obligatorily to fill a liability term presented by a guard because this is a private property.
