About the Beach
What is Praia da Balaia (Leste) Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Albufeira.
Praia da Balaia (East) Beach discloses a sand that changes considerably its size during tidal periods. It is also known as Praia do Bico das Silvas Beach.
Next to the beach access, in the high tide, the sand is constraint to a medium width area. However, during low tide, the fallback of sea water unveils several passages through the rocks to other six areas of sand that exist along the cliff, heading east.
Access is via a wooden stairway in poor conditions due the effects of natural elements.
