About the Beach

What is Praia da Grota Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Cascais.

Praia da Grota Beach is located in a small dimensions cove surrounded by a high cliff. Down, a small sand is revealed between lots of pebbles and rolled stones.
Caution is recommended during bathing due to the high amount of immersed rocks.
During heavy rainfall a small waterfall may be seen flowing from the Ribeira da Grota1.
For accessing the top of the waterfall one must come from Figueira do Guincho village. For bathing, the access must be done by sea.
