About the Beach
What is Praia da Parede Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Cascais.
Praia da Parede Beach, once known as Praia d'Água Doce Beach, has a reasonable sized sand.
Here, the rocky intertidal platform holds a high level of biodiversity.
Several immersed rocks advise caution when bathing in this waters.
At western and eastern ends, the Ribeira das Marianas1 and the Ribeira dos Sassoeiros2 empty channeled, respectively. At the center flows a small stream.
High concentration of iodine in these waters make it often sought for bone diseases healing.
