It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Faro.

Praia da Culatra (Sea) Beach presents a very long sand of about 5,4 Km, located in 1, at the center/east side of 2 (a valley eroded by rivers and with sandy islands which is flooded by the sea, turning the water into brackish).
In the east, the beach is bounded by the Canal de Olhão3.
North from the bathing area, the dune system mixes with the marshal Ria scenery.
This side of the island also holds a fishermen village similar to the one at the west neighboring beach.
