It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Matosinhos.

Praia Azul Beach is situated in a cove of small dimensions, flanked by rock formations entering the sea. Therefore, it is sheltered from winds.
The beach has a reduced sand with nearly 50 meters length and shape of a seashell.
Rocks in front of sandy area act like a natural barrier, the breaking stirred sea.
At this place empties piped, the Ribeira da Boa Nova1. Right away into south, lie the Capela da Boa Nova2, the 3 and the 4.
Access is available via Avenida da Liberdade5.
