About the Beach

What is Praia das Salinas Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Matosinhos.

Praia das Salinas Beach has medium sized strip of sand, bounded north by the Ribeira da Guarda.
The rocks off coast create waves that intersect each other and may produce dangerous currents.
A vast dune system full of vegetation lies paired with an enormous support car parking which begins to the north, beside Aldeia Nova football field.
Access is done by following to the south end of a place called Aldeia Nova, leaving one's vehicle in a parking lot located beside the north part of the football field facilities.
