It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sesimbra.

Praia do Ouro Beach, also known as Praia do Pontão Beach, is located in the urban sea front of town. It's inserted into the western area of Praia da Califórnia Beach.
The extensive sand is west bounded by a pier with a bit over 100 meters long. Sea waters are generally calm.
At east, the 1 bounds the shore line.
This beach is known for its beach library during summer season.
Contiguous to the sand is Estrada Nacional 3782.
