About the Beach
What is Praia da Pipa Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Sesimbra.
Praia da Pipa Beach, also known as Praia do Bento Beach, presents two distinct sandy areas separated by a tip of a cliff that holds rocky formations on the bottom. It's bounded at north by a long row of rocks.
During high tide, only the northern sand stays partially emerged.
This is a remote beach and one of the secrets of Sesimbra coast.
The access is done bu a trail entering to the south sand, beside the Ribeira da Crieira1 and the Ribeira da Pipa2. The two streams unite into one, a little more than 100 meters from the beach.
