About the Beach

What is Praia da Balança Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Lagos.

Praia da Balança Beach, also known as Praia Grande Beach, has a small dimensions sand with the shape of a seashell. It's located right before the 2 and orientated to southeast. It acquired this name due to the existence of an islet similar to a scale1.
This beach is surrounded by vertical cliffs.
The access goes through a difficult narrow trail on the cliff.
