About the Beach
What is Praia de Porto Novo Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Torres Vedras.
Praia de Porto Novo Beach is located in a bay protected north and south by cliffs.
Troops loyal to the Duke of Wellington landed on this beach during the Peninsular War or French Invasions. Here, exist caves with pre-historical traces.
At the center, the Rio Alcabrichel1 flows serenely to meet the Atlantic Ocean.
To the east one finds Vimeiro Matchplay 1808 golf course.
The car parking lies in the south area, near Parque de Lazer de Porto Novo2.
