About the Beach
What is Praia do Centro Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Torres Vedras.
Praia do Centro Beach inserted in Praia de Santa Cruz Beach, has an extensive and very wide sand. As the name indicates ("Centro" means "Center", in Portuguese), this is the central beach of Santa Cruz and the one which gets more crowded in the region. It is also known as Praia do Meio Beach.
Much of the mid area is filled during summer by beach barracks, operated by the local bar.
At south, the shoreline is bounded by rock formations.
The car parking dominates the cliff slope.
