It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Viana do Castelo.

Praia de Paçô Beach, also known as Praia do Forte Beach, arises on the shore between granite outcrops. It features a very extensive sand stretch which becomes broader in the central area and is bounded at the ends by rock formations.
The Fortim de Montedor1 or Forte de Paçô2, classified as Public Interest Real Estate since January 24th of 1967, completes the landscape.
In front of the parking lot there is a set of ancient dwellings made of granite.
This beach holds the since its implementation at European level in 1987.
