It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Viana do Castelo.

Praia do Norte Beach is the main beach of 's urban sea front. The sand is long and in the water, parallel to the shore, there's a rock formation that works as a wave breaker and provides calm baths for vacationers.
In the south area one can find a pier that separates the main sandy area from a smaller one, right south of it. There are also two sea water swimming pools.
