About the Beach

What is Praia do Coral Beach?

It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Viana do Castelo.

Praia do Coral Beach, also known as Praia do Aquário Beach, is situated within the 1 bar and is part of its mouth by north side. It acquired this name because of the stranding of a Chinese ship named Coral Bulker outside the western pier, on December 25th, 2000.
The sand is very wide and waters are calm due to the protection of the pier that extends over 900 meters into the sea.
The numerous parking infrastructures make it quite appreciated by the people of 1.
