About the Beach
What is Praia do Alibabá Beach?
It's an Oceanic Beach in the northern hemisphere bathed by the Atlantic Ocean, located on the coast of Portugal - Iberian Peninsula - in the municipality of Mafra.
Praia do Alibabá Beach or Praia do Ali Babá Beach acquired its name by, according to legend, many years ago here had moored the ship of a captain named Ali Baba to bury their treasure.
The sand presents medium dimensions and golden tones.
On top of the north cliff one finds the Miradouro de Ribeira d'Ilhas1, beside Estrada Nacional 2472 and, on top of the south cliff arises the Forte de Mil Regos3, "Property of Public Interest" since the year of 1977.
